Exploring Cofferdam Systems

Utilizing dams to hold back water is an effective means of controlling water that is threatening homes and properties. The most of the time used method is filling up bags with sand and stacking them against the ridge that one is trying to contain the water at, but the sandbags are not as effective as this new method. This method of water control utilizes water to fight water. The industrial strength and patented dams made by using these hoses take water from the place. They are useful and cost friendly since they can be used over and over again. The strategy of using dams that take the onsite water is environmentally friendly. They cause no danger to the land since what is being used is the water that is already on the land at the site of the water encroachment.

The method has been used by The Department of Transportation, foreign engineering companies, and by the United States Army Corps of Engineers to organize water in flood endangered areas. They are easy and can be installed at any place just as quickly as rolling out a hose.

What they are is a batch of long industrial strength tubular extendable hoses that absorbs the water which is encroaching on to them. They extend to hold the water in and hold it off the land behind them. The method seems to be amazing since the water is taken into the holding hose that extends, making a higher barricade for encroaching water.

This method of controlling flood waters is more effective, quicker, and environmentally friendly as compared to filling bags with sand, having the sand inundated with flood waters, and being made to find a place to dispose of the flood soaked sand. The hose method can be used to encircle creeks, lakes, and other bodies of water that are rising and threatening the coast or the surrounding countryside. Since they can be emptied back into the body of water that was used to extend them, they are environmentally friendly and are actually such firemen’s hoses able to be stored once emptied back into the body of water.
